We began today by using our imaginations to expand on an image. Then we explored Romare Bearden's style of collage using magazine cuttings to make a frame focusing on colors and then a person focusing on human features to go inside of the frame. See our finished art below:)
We used your wonderful idea by taking one portion of a picture and putting it on a page. Using a drawing pad, we made a large batch and use them when the kids are waiting. Thanks! http://littlehomeschoolblessings.blogspot.com/2012/10/the-waiting-game-what-to-play-while-you.html?m=1
Love this idea! I have been homeschooling for 6 years now and this is a new and refreshing way to let the kids put their imaginations to good use! I even shared your link on my blog - http://laundrytolollipops.blogspot.com

This is SUCH a fun idea! I'm going to include it into our "summer school" for my kids at home.... I have ONE that LOVES to draw and is older (14) but this will at least hopefully keep his mind engaged while he sloths the rest of the time! My 8 year old, I know, will love it! My 3 year old..yeah, he'll probably eat the paper. But hey, we can try!
i LOVE this - the expand on an image. wow. what a great idea! going to have to get my girls to do this soon!
